Having been a musician for many years, and playing in various bands always with the goal to try to make a living, there left very little time to concentrate on those songs and projects that appealed esthetically to me . When I gave up playing professionally, however, I dredged up a few songs that I had written many years ago, polished them up, and decided to do a project that was all my own. With the recent advent in affordable recording technology, I felt it was now possible to finally create a good-sounding record of ideas that had been floating around my head without having to go into debt to a large recording studio. Halcyon Days will be that project.
I currently have half the songs recorded, and will post excerpts of them when mixing is done. Ultimately what I'd like to do with this page is to be able to offer the record for sale to people like yourself who hear the excerpts and think this is something that they'd like to own. In reality, I know that tastes and sensibilities vary, and everyone who hears this will not necessarily be entranced -- but in the end I've recorded this for myself, and if others enjoy it that will be icing on the cake.
